Human beings are the only animals on the planet who seem to understand they are going to die, and therefore, are also the only animals on the planet who ask why they are going to die, like it is some great ontological question in the universe. We are going to die because the matter that we are made up of is temporary. The biological system that it ad hoc-ed together breaks down over time because of entropy, like every other system in the universe, and gets destroyed. Why all the human-centric nonsense about the nature of death, like it would somehow be different for us that every other complex system in existence?
