Questioning has always been a part of the Dharma tradition. You don't have that in the Abrahamic religions. You are allowed to question, but in the end, it is expected that your questioning will lead you right to where the scripture says you should go. Otherwise, you did something wrong along the way. It is natural for humans to want to be right all the time. So everything, including religion has to be a certainty, otherwise, we have trouble wrapping our heads around it.
