Greed and prosperity do not necessarily go hand in hand. You can make a fortune by finding the right niche, utilizing the proper resources, and perhaps have a bit of luck on your side, but never have the desire to make money for the sole purpose of just making more money. Greed is where you have a deep-set need to make more money regardless of the personal necessity or consequences to others.

In other words, if you are trying to gain profit just to fulfill a self-imposed craving that benefits only yourself, that's greed. If you are trying to make a product which is the best it can be, and everyone just happens to want or need your product and are happy to hand over their hard earned money to you to buy it, and you in turn ensure the price for your product remains viable and you use the money earned to reinvest in your product and the people who work for you and your community, then it is not greed, but it is smart business.
