Stupid enough to comprehend | Simple enough to complicate
Like Arjuna in the Mahabharata had to do battle with his own. Lord Krishna told him to not assess his actions on the scale of good or bad. Rather perform his deed as it's his Karma. Good and bad are relative concepts. What was bad in the middle ages is quite good today. Once it was even bad to propose that the Earth was not the center of the universe. There is only Karma. Nothing is good or bad, it's a question of perspective.
