Love is an emoticon,
and with just a few key-strokes
you can feel enticed by folks
slightly more than if you'd been poked.

A colon and parentheses
is not a smile by any means.
It's expression through imagination.
Which soon becomes, for many teens
acute emotive masturbation.

Now hate is a decepticon,
sworn to make us pay,
for selling our childhood to be
blown up by Michael Bay.

Now we may yet survive,
though I'm not Optimustic,
seems we just improve machines
to optimize our dick-pics.

So bear in mind,
in these trying times,
as humans are exiled,
by alien-robot-vehicles
and conservative xenophiles,
that love is not an emoticon,
punctuation's not a smile.
